Mouth Rot?

My Diamond Gobie appears to have a problem with his mouth. At first it looked like he was growing teeth out the front of his mouth but after looking closer at him it appears that the mouth is rotting away. He has had a black patch on the bottom of his mouth since we got him about a year ago but has always acted fine. I have just noticed this in the last couple of weeks. I hope this picture is good enough for someone to be able to help diagnose the problem and a possible solution.

The black patch is a part of the coloring. I have never seen this before in my life. Could he have gotten into it with a bigger fish? Maybe a crab or something? Sorry I couldn't have been more help. I'll be watching this thread for someone smarter to diagnose.

1 Yellow Tang,

1 Six Line Wrasse,
2 False Percs,
1 Mandarin,
1 Lawnmower Blenny,
1 Diamond Gobie,

1 Emerald Crab (maybe),
Assorted corals,
and 1 Cleaner Shrimp.

I would remove to quarantine and treat with Furan2 for 7-10 days. He obviously has mouth rot. Treat before it spreads and gets worse.

Can it spread to the other fish?

Yes it can. I got lucky recently using garlik on a bad case of fin rot (wich is similar bacterial infection), it wont hurt to add some to its food (and possibly water in a QT).
