moved gig to qt help

I feel Minh is going to say no... With it's mouth/stomach is exposed like that it wont eat.

Don't feed it. Let it use its energy for recovery. The stuff coming out is most likely dead zooxanthellae. What's interesting to me is that every sick gig I've seen expels what looks like I describe as "rat poop" since the zoox has formed into clumps. Typical gig poop is stringy. Remember that a nem's mouth is also its butt (for lack of a better description) so if stuff is coming out, stuff can't go in.

Morning two

Mouth is tight, looking better.. Wait and see if it expels anymore zoox today... Keep it up Jeff!

Well today is the best I think that it has looked in three weeks.

New question when I am done treating. Can I place the rock that the gig is on in my reef tank or do I have to find a way to get it off the rock? Is there some I can do to get the meds out of the rock?

When you finish you can just put the rock back. This antibiotic degrade quickly in light. I am glad he seem to response to the treatment for you.

Alright, didn't shrink up tonight, and mouth is very tight. Hopefully keeps going this way and can put the gig back in the reef.

Is there such a thing as to much flow for gigs?

Mine is sitting right under an mp40 getting whipped around.... Curious to hear what others think. Mine seems to love it.

Put gig back in display, fed it this morning. It ate great, responded good today. Treated him with going back in the display.
