i just recently put a crocea clam in my tank. i didnt think he looked as good as he should so i was going to move him and he was attached to the rock should i still attempt to move him?

no you can damage his foot if you try and forcibly move him..and a damaged foot seems to be a death sentence for clams. If he is really unhappy he should release his foot and try and move on his own once that happens you can try and move him. Lots of people reccomend putting a small rock beneath the clam and let the clam attach to that so that they can be easily moved if need be. Good Luck

meaning he is attached to a rock in the 4 days he has been in the tank would that mean he is happy?

I just had to manually move my crocea. it was getting blasted from PH in back of tank, and was in a crevis and could seem to get around it.

I wiggled it around very carefuly, every few minutes. Soon you could tell some threads had let go and had to hold on to it untill last few came loose. I took 15 min doing this so go slow, and do not pull just back and forth, alittle.

Next morning was reatached to new spot.

he let go over night and i placed him in the sand. here is a pic of him now is thiis how it should look?
