MP10 broken wet side question

I pulled my wet side out yesterday to give it a vinegar bath. Upon disassembly i noticed the ceramic tube had a small crack in it. I carefully put it back together and tried to start it up. unfortunately it seized up. Turns out the ceramic has shredded. after cleaning it there is only a metal shaft left. Question is, while I wait for a replacement can i run it as is? will it just be loud or should I wait for a replacement? I've turned up the return pump to account for the lack of flow however it seems i am not getting that random flow. Corals seem ok but it will be at least a week before i get replacement.

I'm betting that it will not run with just the metal shaft, when I've had this happen it always throws the pump into the default "stall" mode.

Yep exactly, I've only had this happen once on an Mp60 and I had to wait for a replacement to arrive.

On my mp10 this exact same thing happened. It ran fine for a week while ecotech mailed me a new wet side under warranty.
