MP40 Flow & Feed mode questions

El Conquistidor
I've tried searching here and the EcoTech site to no avail, but am looking for the following information.

On the MP40w (gen2), I know the flow rates are 1000gph - 3200gph. However, I am looking for the GPH % ratings based on various modes. I.e., in Reef-Crest mode, even if I was at 100%, my GPH would be some factor less due to the dips. Same story with Lagoon mode.

Is this information published or available anywhere?

I know that GPH isn't the whole story when setting flow, but it's information that I would like to have.

Second question...

Is there a way to engage the 500GPH feed mode using the Neptune WXM? The lowest I can get it to is seemingly the bottom limit of 1000GPH which is pretty fast for feeding on my 60 cube.

Thank you!

FYI, The ES driver has an adjustable feed speed. The slowest is "Barley Spinning" which is exactly that. Not sure on the standard driver and WXM question.

I don't have the ES driver and hadn't planned on upgrading, but wonder if you could even engage that "barely spinning' mode with the WXM controller module. Kinda like getting into that 500gph feed mode. Seems like you can get there with the EcoTech driver but not the Neptune (unless I'm missing something)

Updating with an answer to question 2:

Per Curt of Neptune, as of today there is no way to initiate a Vortech "Feed Cycle" via the WXM module. It is on the enhancement list...

The programming is there in the driver and we understand that adding the engagement through the Apex interface is on Curt's to-do list.

Thanks Tim, that's great news. Curt is generally pretty quick on his enhancements so I look forward to it in the next few months.

Any chance you have info or an answer to my other question?

If you look at the charts in the manual, you can see the relative percentages for the Reef Crest and Lagoon Mode.

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

In the charts, I can see the relative percentages and the transitions, but my question relates to GPH.

If the graph was larger and more granular, I could do the math myself, but seeing the detail of it, I'm sure you guys know what the flow rate % works out to be over a given period.

I.E., at 100% constant mode, the MP40 pushes 3200GPH. What is the GPH if I am at 100% in Reef Crest mode, or Lagoon Mode?

Again, I know that GPH isn't really "necessary", but it's information I'm looking to get.

Thank you.

Instead of letting this thread die unanswered like the rest of them that are posted with the same question, could I get an answer? Or a simple statement that you're not going to give out that info?

Thank you.

So if i understand the charts and graphs with this last post of the lagoonal and reef crest mode percentage of flow in gph. Are we support to be running 100% in the mode schedule and let the program drop and raise as needed.
