Mr. Cena's 800 gallon Reef Tank

Looks like its very hard to get in and out of. Working in the tank once its filled should be fun. It looks like the lights will Have to be removable for access.

Once it is finished do you get to have a beer and play some poker with him while you all marvel at the reef goodness?

It is an electronic ball valve on the return from the sump.

what is the white cylinder above the overflow box? it has a transformer plugged into it hanging down and sits between two tubv's. Looks almost like a white OM4-way.

Ray is 5' 10"

How big is that guy in the picture? Just to get a sense of scale.

I'm thinking he's not a guy that suffers from claustrophobia. :p

Those are two 57 watt Aqua ultraviolet sterilizers.

looks extremely promising! thats alotta UV power :)

After seeing the tank in place i have to say it fits very well in the space it was designed for . after Ray explained the lighting design i cannot wait to see it finished it should be pretty unique as well

I stopped by today and saw how it was going and man was I impressed. The aquascape is not even a quarter of the way finished but you can tell that this is going to turn out unreal. Giant deep dark caves for fish to hang out in and shadowy reef ledges are being constructed for this setup. Along with many cracks and crevices to place a multitude of coral in. Pictures of this can not possibly due it any justice, but I will try!

Poor Ray, he was working solo today so every time he needed anything he had to climb in and out of the tank for it. I told him I would stop by and give him a hand, but by the time I got there after being in this tank for 8 hours a day for 3 days straight he has got it down pact. He stacks all the rocks he needs to work with on top of the tank and brings what tools he can with him inside. As he works, he has for the most part everything he needs at an arms length. He says, "after climbing in and out of the tank a hundred times you start to plan ahead alittle better". I'd say the holes on top of this tank are pretty large but it's still a fatmans nightmare!

Here is Ray taking one last deep breath before climbing back into the Batcave!

Batman is back at work! (I took a strategic angle for this picture to block the view of some plumberbutt for your viewing pleasure and mine!) PULL UP YOUR SHORTS MAN!!!
