Does anyone know a Publix that has the Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime anywhere between Doral and Coral Springs? If so please post where. Thanks in advance.

University and just north of Commercial is where I last bought some. Its on the end of the aisle across from the fruit section.

John wally world by your house a no go, but did find it a the Publix on university and commercial. Bought the last jar, I spoke to the manager and publix is discontinueing carrying it all together. Myself and Chuck did talk him into ordering us some. So if anyone else wants any they better speak with a manager at there local publix and get your orders in before its unavailable all together. Now I'm not sure if all the wally worlds are going to follow suit and stop carrying it also only time will tell.

Might want to speak to the manager Publix in general has discontinued stocking it unless special ordered. At least thats what three diff managers at three diff stores have told chuck and myself. Their stock warehouses will no longer be shipping it out to the stores once they are out of stock in the mid ship warehouses. Now walmart may keep stocking the bally or the Mrs. Wages but according to the managers at Publix its an item that when all gone from the warehouses it will only be available through special order and will take aprox a month to get in if special ordered which is lovely. Might as well order it direct from Mrs. Wages online site if its going to take them that long. It is not yet a special order at publix as the distribution warehouse still had some we ordered 12 cases of it.

Kenny= calcium hydroxide = Mrs.Wages Pickling Lime= same as kalkwasser from the pet store just not $20+ cost its only $3 at Publix or Wally World

What they are telling you is true, the sku has been out of stock in their computer systems for some time now, they don't officially carry it anymore, however, what you are doing now I did 3 years ago with the manager at my Publix and they ordered for me, at that time they got a pallet of it. I am sure there is still plenty. Good luck

DUH - Just figured out that the Mrs Wages from Publix isn't so cheap after all.

It's 2.89 per lb and then you have to pay tax.

From BRS: 2.67 per lb - no tax - delivered right to your door.

Maybe I shouldn't cancel the order and let them get in another 12 cases of it so that we know for sure where we can send locals to purchase it :)

Just stick a tablespoonful in with a gallon of topoff water, add it as you would topoff water. good to go if your demands for Ca and Alk are low.

make sure this is is only dripped in though...exactly what reefwreak said, but only slowly...it cannot be topped off like 1 gal. at a time or you'll have major swings. You'd have to have an ato setup in order for this to work correctly.

lol any time I've ever used it I've just thrown the whole gallon straight into the tank.... I don't really let it settle in the water either, just add it, rotate it a little bit to try to stir it, then boom, into the sump :p Not the recommended method, but it's worked for me whenever I did it.
