Hey everyone.

I just added the last fish to my tank.

I have been researching Deepwater Butterflies for quite a while, and last saturday I decided to take the plunge.

I ordered a Mitratus Butterfly.
On Live Aquarias website, it says that they come 2-3.5 inches. I asked if they could ship the smallest one available. Well they did just that. He is MAYBE 1.75 inches. (he is probably just 1.5 inches.)

He is so cute, and has started eating all ready. Plus my angels have shown no signs of aggression. :)

Congrats on the new addition. Post some pics. I have become facinated with butterflies. I have a pair of Tinkers and a Pair of Goldens. I have considered a Mitratus, but I was afraid of possible aggression from the Tinkers. Good luck, I look forward to some pics.
 
I Know.....but it is a risk that I am willing to take. Plus since he his still a baby, maybe he can be "weaned" from corals :)

Awesome fish Michael...I was thinking about that little guy as well. Great pickup and glad to see that he is eating mysis already.
 
wow awesome fish, really looking to get a pair. i had a friend that put one in his 210 sps but it disappeared for 2 weeks now probably dead was really healthy and was eating when he put him in. what could've happened?
 
Congrats on a great fish!!!!! Just as a word of advice. Make you sure you feed him constantly as a little butterfly has an extremely fast metabolism. Good luck with him!. T
