Multi-bar angel - so far so good

Granted, 'so far' is all of 1 week. Placed straight to DT, isolated with a screen for the first three days. Since released with the general population, and despite getting hazed / harassed initially by the Achilles is out and swimming in the open.

Even during isolation she did not really hide! Picking constantly at the rocks, but unfortunately the picking included my only trachy. Fair trade in my view.

I saw it trying out frozen brine / mysis.

Crossing fingers that I lucked out with a good specimen.

Bad husbandry on my part, really, in that I do not have a QT set up.

Rolled the dice in more ways than one - the fish came from LiveAquaria (not DD) which of course means I never saw it (vs an LFS that I could have observed).

The multi is at most 2 to 2.5 in. Still has the 'spot' at its tail (juvenile marking?).
Yes, fortunately the Achilles is now more tolerant.

Multi-bar is an angel I've not tried. Mainly because it has a reputation as a nipper, but also because of feeding challenges. Keep us posted on progress please. I don't think a LA fish is necessarily any riskier than one from LFS. I actually prefer fish that have just arrived versus those that have been in the LFS system for a while. If the angel has a problem, your Achilles will tell you soon enough.

I'm on my second attempt with Multibar angels. The first attempt was a pair that Kevin Kohen had at the DD facility for three weeks in order to get them on to mysis and brine shrimp. They did well until succumbing to a velvet outbreak in QT two weeks after arrival. The new pair was conditioned in Kevin Kohen's office tank for a couple months and I've now had them for just over a month. There is something going on with the female as of late, but I'm not able to figure it out.

I wish you continued luck with yours. Grazing the rocks is a great start, and sampling food is even better!

See if this works (embedding a youtubevid).
Don't see it often enough, but hopefully it's a start.
