Multicolor Angelfish picking toadstool

I've seen him nip polyps off of it and the big toadstool has been ****ed off for months. Not sure if I should sell the toadstool while it's still alive or just keep it so the multi doesn't move on to another coral. The toadstool hasn't had P.E. like that in a long time, it's usually not at all or really short for half a day until the multi visits it. pic was taken 6 months ago

angelfish aren't reef safe. not really sure what your asking here. you see the angel picking at the toadstool, so what is your question. is it will he kill it

Sorry I wasn't clear. Will the toadstool survive being picket at everyday? if I get rid of the toadstool would the multi most likely move onto another coral? As the multi generally only picks at this one toadstool.

In my experience, he will continue to pick at that one until it dies...eventually moving on to other available coral. I would either re-home the fish or plan on a FOWLR :-)

yeah that's what I thought. Dwarf angelfish are frustrating, my last one was a flame and would pick at different corals but at least the toadstool would open. I ended up getting rid of him bc he started being a phyco bully to the wrasses. I'm not really up for qt with ttm another angel and to find out they're a nipper. Probably just going to see how it goes these next few weeks, just annoying to look at a big closed toadstool all the time.

+1 yes he will kill the toad stool. as far as moving on to the next piece . its a most likely. some people say if you feed them a well balanced meal and keep them well feed they will leave your corals alone. others say it depends on the fish. you can try feeding it more, do you have enough algae in the tank for it to graze. or do you supplement it. if not you can try to
