gigantea feed on polychaetes?

Anemones are opportunistic. They eat things that blunder into them. I've never seen any other anemone species capture polychaetes as frequently as my gigantea does. It captures one almost daily. I don't have an overabundance of bristleworms. I run my reef aquarium fairly "clean". It's difficult to tell whether or not the anemone is actually eating and digesting the worms that are caught because they're caught at night. I only see a worm in the anemone when (it appears that) it's rejecting it during daylight hours.

Thanks for that info, Minh.
Oddly enough, crispa and gigantea are often the host of many of the same clownfish species, although it would appear that crispa occurs in deeper water than gigantea.
I never saw my Haddon's, magnifica, BTA or LTA eat polychaetes.

We moved a little over a year ago and I had to tear down my 9 year old reef aquarium and set up a new one. There are pictures of both tanks in my RC gallery, but most of those pix are of the old aquarium.
(My old aquarium system is explained in depth as a 'Reefkeeping Online' TOTM article. If you click on the little red house icon in my post it will take you to the article.)
I started a thread documenting the build/progression of my new (one year old) reef aquarium here:

I wish I could take a photo that's halfway as in focus as yours. You disgust me!!! ;) Just kidding but man I wish I could get shots like that. Nice work.

I wish I had a camera that was capable of that...

Oh well...someday. Glad to see that the gigantea is still doing well in your tank, and great pictures as always, Gary!

That is hands down, the most beautiful anemone I have ever seen anywhere both in person or in pictures.
I hope it outlives all of us.
