multiple firefish in a 180

I have seen/heard experiences on both sides of the fence on this issue. Is there a consensus as to whether it is possible to keep multiple firefish? Some sites even recommend they be kept in pairs. I would like to hear people's experiences. Thanks.

I have three firefish in a 28 gal JBJ, I have had them for a year. The key to keeping groups of firefish is to get them very young and introduce at the same time. There is a pecking order and a sm. amount of aggression, but overall its a pretty peaceful tank. Pics included. Hope that helps.:wavehand:

I bought two red firefish about a year ago, I wanted to get three but settled for two. They seem to have paired, they're constantly by each others side and even bolt to the same hole when startled. I've heared that if you keep more than one, they may fight... guess I was lucky. -Steve
