Multiple Tangs?

I think even two tangs in a system your size is too much. I would definitely not add another. To many people think they can fit 2 and 3 tangs in these small systems and it ends up with aggression between the tangs as they grow older and ultimately the death of one if not both. Just to let you know I am not just giving you this advice but also taking it. I have one blue tang in my 150 and I will not be adding any other tangs. If you value long term success please reconsider the third tang whatever you do

i have 4 tangs in my 90g tank and they are all live together and do not fight.
Hipo, Yellow, Salfin, Naso, they all medium sizes.
i just bought the blue powder and it is in my quaratine tank for now, but i really think i made a mistake with it. i did not know that this is such a fighter.
is there a chance they will live peacefull?

Have you ever heard of the locker room effect? In a tank crowded with too many territorial fish an uneasy truce breaks out because there are just too many fish for any one fish to defend their territory against. This is not a good situation in regards to either territoriality or bioload. A hippo, naso, and sailfin all get huge and very soon you will need to upgrade seriously or trade them in. A 90 is a borderline system for any tang IMO and only gets harder when multiple tangs are introduced. I would look at a way to trade the hippo, naso, and sailfin as these will be impossible to maintain long term in this tank. You might get away with a yellow and powder blue but I wouldn't that either if it were me.

and i have foxface. it is the biggest fish. that is the only fish i can give up. will it help?

I would not do it. He will trash your other tangs to pieces. Your sailfin and naso get 1.5 feet each! That is insane!!! Minimum recommended size for one of those tangs is a 225 and for all four of those you should have 500+ gallons. I would recommend finding a good home for your powder blue, naso, and sailfin even if it means giving them away for free. I realize this is bad news but with your current fish list you are setup for long term failure.

There is good news however. There are tons of really cool smaller fish that you can keep! Some that are just a nice as tangs, especially when kept in groups. Think about picking up a group of 3 cardinal fish and a group of gobies or wrasses. You can do a lot with a 90 and IMO a group of smaller fish is as cool as one big tang if not cooler! Try it out and you will see
Keep your Yellow, Hippo and your foxface... you might be ok with those.
Other than that, I'd only have little fish (gramma, wrasse, cardinals, gobies, jawfish etc)

Also, if you bought all those fish for your 90 from the same LFS you might want to shop elsewhere. They shop obviously isn't in it to help you, just there for the money.
My LFS will do just about anything for the fish... even take them back and quarrantine them if they get sick. You're still out the cash, but he'll try and nurse them back to health.

2 medium tangs in a 90 is about it.
In my 400 G tank I had a 13" vlamingi, 12" male naso, 9" female naso, 9" sailfin, 7" pink Tail trigger and a 8" rabbit fish. Even with a tank as big as mine, there still seemed to not be enough swimming room for them.
Yes they all got along fine but I was worried about the swimming space. I've since cut back to just the pair of Naso's, pink tail and a medium sized blue hippo tang. They are currently in a 200G holding tank while I move the 400 and they still seem a bit croweded in that tank. I'm also reaquascaping the 400 to give them even more swimming room.
As stated by others, some smaller fish would do well in a 90. Add in some of the colorful wrasses to give you color as well as busy fish for movement. Another fish to look at would be the pigmy angels or the swallow tail angels. Good luck with your tank.

I think you're set up for long term disaster with that many. I knew I was pushing thinking of a 3rd, with what you have I would say you will definately have trouble with agression and/or bio-load.
That said, I don't believe any captive fish ever reach their full growth, so there is no absolute here.
The point is why put beautiful animals in a situation where they are doomed or limited?

what about Flame Angelfish ? can i add it?
Have heard good and bad about Flame's and reef tanks.
I had a Coral Beauty once.. and it was fine.
I really think you should stop looking to add.. .and start looking to reduce... and restock.
That does bring me to another question for the board.... If I were to add an Angel to my tank... are there any full sized ones that anyone has gotten away with in a reef tank. I'm not much into coral, but don't want to say I can't have any.
