Jay, can you share with us how you achieved your pic?
I think I'm generally pretty good at reverse engineering an image but yours I must admit has me stumped.

also"¦ here is the wonderful lady those hands belong to:

OK, since Jay doesn't seem to really be here, I'll pick for him. I'm gonna pick Nick, (NTP66), because of the child in the pic. The shot is good, the reflection also helps. The kid Takes it over the top for me. Also having her hands ready to strum something, just too sweet.

Ragga, I wish your shot had the womam in it. I'd love to have seen it with her playing. If you have some, post them please.

Nick, pick something.

I need to get a new camera, Otis broke my old crappy Nikon L22.
Dang cat stretched out and knocked it to the ground.

Any suggestions for a hack?

Jesse, unfortunately those are the only 2 edits I have of her.
I posted the below pic first but immediately replaced it with Dottys hands.

Thanks, Jesse. I did feel that including my daughter was cheating a bit. :) I could have used that photo for the "unexpected" subject, because what I was really trying for was exactly what Jay did. I had finished four or five shots, but didn't like any of them while my daughter climbed up on the seat and my wife decided to give her my guitar (THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN) to play with. She seemed to enjoy plucking the strings, so I went with it.

I'm eating lunch right now, so I figure food is as good a topic as any!

Thanks for wrapping this one up Jesse! Some super cool submissions!

I just manually focused on a spot on the fret board looking down the neck from the head of the guitar (Washburn Acoustic) The lens was the Nikkor 105 micro. I think I was on f8. I added that little glint on the left side in photoshop. Its called Lens Flare. I thought the photo itself was a bit plain Jane so I added that. I do like the way the bridge pegs Bokeh'd! That's a very good lens!
