I'll bet that light provides all the heat (if not more) than you need to keep it warm in the winter. I guess night will be a problem though.
Here's a wacky thought - if the light heats it enough during the day, at night you could put a box over the tank and inside the box, put something that generates heat, like a wall wart or cable-TV amplifier or something. Then you'll have a little "room" with it's own little radiator keeping the tank warm.
BTW, cool experiment. You need to update your signature to say "371.094 gallons SW reef".
