My 1.5 drain isn't keeping up with my Mag 9.5

Silicone a piece of glass (baffle sp?) that fits widthwise and about an inch or two lower than the top of the sump. In doing that you raise the water level in a localized area and get less splash.

Also you can slip a piece of PVC pipe so that the end is 1" from the bottom of the sump.

That's all I got for now...LOL.

how are you gonna get oil slick and floating particles out of that tank?? you almost do want to put a screen on there and angle it up not down. you'll be suprised at how much oil is in the food we feed! it'll build up

He probably is not finished. He stated that he was in the testing phase.

smp,
A simple little acrylic overflow box made from a 10.00 piece of acrylic from home depot would work perfectly to raise the water hieght in the tank and surface skimming. Check out the Do It Yourself forum. alot of good info.

Way ahead of you. I have crafted a very pretty center overflow for this tank. It looks great, I just didn't want to silicone it in before figuring out the plumbing because it's a tight fit.
