My 100 gallon SPS dominated Upgrade build!!!!!!

For the filter socks on the drain piping, I used a hacksaw an cut about 1/4" off of an appropriately sized PVC slip coupling and slid it up the pipe where I wanted it and secured it with PVC. It's kind of ghetto, but my 8 y.o. daughter volunteered a hair elastic to go around the 2" drain pipe and hold the sock in place. She was all proud of herself so it's still there.

It has been a while, been so busy with college. The tank went through the cycle and I am putting corals in. I used live water and also put in a couple pounds of live rock in so it didn't take that long. I have a couple corals in there and they are doing great. I have a sea clone skimmer in the sump that is working great(i'm emptying it out almost twice a week). Still waiting until December for the bubble magnus skimmer to come so will update when I receive it.Haven't put the new MH bulbs in will do that soon, I put in the brand new compacts and turns out the ballasts for the compacts are dead so won't be able to use them. It will cost me $120 plus shipping for the ballast. ( the compacts were just going to add some more color but they can wait lol have to save up for spring semester books ugh) Other than that everything is looking good. Going to start transferring some of my other corals in soon.

Love this tank! This is one of the best transfers I've seen. You've done an excellent job in getting all the corals placed very well. It all looks balanced.

Now how about some top down shots - those beautifully coloured colonies deserve to be photographed in such a way. :D

Thanks everyone!
Here is a top down picture, this is my first time taking a top down picture. The light reflection got in the way not sure how to take a really nice picture, if anyone can tell me how to take a really nice top down picture that would be great!!

So I received my skimmer yesterday and it is AMAZING!!! It is so quiet, I love it!
When I opened it up it looked huge, I was convinced it would not fit but I measured everything so many times, I guess I am just not used to larger skimmers since the only skimmer I have ever had was a small hang on the back sea clone hahahaha. So I had to put it in the middle chamber of the sump, but since the chamber had a small divider( I don't know what to call it lol) like in the middle I had to make a shelf for the skimmer to sit on. After that It was really easy getting it in and up and running. This morning it already had some skimmate in the collection cup.

Just in time for Christmas lol

I can't believe your old tank looked so nice with a Seaclone. I had one when I first started and hated it.

The Curve 7 does not look much different from the NAC7 but the tank rating is higher for the Curve. Mine has been pulling a lot and must be emptied twice a week.

What kind of lights did you run on your old tank? Your corals have very good color.
