Here is the work Ive done so far in preparation...
Stand (got used) touched up and repainted. I'm working on doors now.

Sump resliconed and baffled. Octopus NW200 w gate valve mod

Power center I made, beign tested out on the frag tank. I followed this guy's design - http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1289946
Also ran a new circuit and installed a new outlet to plug this badboy into.

Hope to leak test the tank this week and get it filled and circulating soon!

Thanks! The tools usually are everywhere, until I finally need to actually use the bench, in which case I clean up.... plus you can't see the huge pile of fish "stuff" out of view to left

I'm planning to go mixed reef, but primarily SPS/LPS I think since I'll probably keep my softie tank up and running. Ive got a new style IceCap 250 and a used 250 EVC Electronic I'm going to put over it so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to keep just about anything. Fish-wise I really havent decided. There are so many "larger" fish I have always wanted but couldnt keep in a 37G.

Looking good! I really like how the inside of the stand it white!! Mine is so dark, I can't ever see anything in there. Nice power center as well are they all wired into one of the gfi outlets? did you make that yourself?

Thanks, yes I made it myself, the bottom row of switched outlets are on the load side one GFI and the middle row of switched outlets are on the other. The top left two outlets are always on, non-GFI.

Was it hard to make? What powers it? Did you run something from your fuse box? Any chance you have some type of plans for it? I could really use something like that. My plugs and wires are a huge mess, and a accident waiting to happen. Did you get my PM?

I thought I sent you a PM earlier, I resent it. I can show you if you stop by.
It wasnt that hard to make, although I'd do it differently next time. The whole unit has a power cord and plugs into an outlet. I just bought a 15A extension cord and cut, becasue it because it was cheaper than making it. I added a new outlet in the wall where the tank is going to be, and ran a new line to a dedicated breaker in the fuse box. THe wiring diagram can be seen in this thread:

ok, tomorrow I'm planning to temporarily empty the 37 enough to move it over 4 feet, and then refill it. I'll then be ready to move the 120 into place, hopefully with a little help. Once filled, I have alot of dry base rock and sand that will be going in, along with some live sand and rock from the current tanks. I'm planning to let the system run(un-lit) for two weeks to develop bacterial on the base rock before moving everything over from the 37 and installing the lights. does that sound like a good plan??

From what I've read, lighting can promote an algae bloom on new rock. If you keep it in the dark to be populated with bacteria first, it will help to deter algae from getting hold.
