My 15 year old reef is crashing

180 gal reef. Bought 2 sea cucumbers seven years and they grew to be 2 feet long. They dies and poisoned all my corals. I had at least 50 acros. Now everything has a red fuzz on it and im about to give up. What should I do? Should I break it down and start all over?

calm down , how about do a large water change and run some carbon tonight? and do some more water change within 48 hrs. again. some prayer willnot hurt. just my $0.02. good luck

Might also be a good idea to set-up a separate holding container and removed as much acros as possible that still looks good

First of all are teh corals dying? If they aren't then huge amounts of water changes and huge amounts carbon and huge amounts of wet skimming. If corals are dying then remove them at once. Even if its to a 20 gallon with white strip lighting. Get the coral out right away. How about fish?

Both lived 7 years and died at the same time? Sounds more like a symptom and not the disease. Anything else you changed?
