My 1st 180 RR Project, Cust Built stand/canopy Tunzes etc..

What big piece is that your refering to???? Are you talking about a rock or that big fan piece??

The dood thats comming over you know I think, hes from Clearwater..

Hey Rob- Do you remember the size of the bulkheads for my tank?, I need to get all new ones now.

I started the sump room and got the water changing/ filling station all built and also the stand for the sump. Nothing fancy just basic table like structures!!

Thank you sir!!!

Ohh yeah Rob, that Chris dood isnt comming by for the rock, so if ya want that piece its all yours!!

Hey there Rob,, guess what??? I have another question for ya!! I am woundering after I glue the new PVC pieces in place how long should I wait till I can fire the system back up and for it to be safe for the fish and corals?, I read the can but would rather here your input on this. Ive got the wall all marked out and it almost seems like that room and the sump was ment to be there, everything is working out to easy, its kinda scary!!!

Sump room progress

Hey all, I have some pics of the sump room, nothing great just showing what its all about, its in my office which I havent been in, in awhile since I got the laptop, the only thing I use the office for now is the printer thats in there!! So thats why we figured we would just move the sump and other things in there. OK here are some shots.....

This is the office, to the left you will see the water station, where I will have a Brute garbage can and my RO/DI. That will make water changes and salt mixing ALOT easier. Im going to do an auto top off once I figure that out!!

This is where the sump will be, the opposite side of the wall is the tank

Here is the table I made for the water changing and salt mixing station. I will hang the RO/DI from the wall somewheres around there

This is the wall and marking where pipes and electrical will run from, dont know if you can see the marks and the writing, but further pics will show better

looks good mike. so does january ;) I only wait 15-30 minutes after I am completely finished. so far so good. if you use the blue glue. wet or dry it cures under water.

OK ccol, I think im going to tackle that today, everything else is already done. The LFS by me has 2 bulkheads. Thats all that I need, I took a look at all of em and noticed that I can get away just replacing two of em. NASCAR stuff starts at 11am today so I need to go to HD before that and the fish store!!

Oh yeah ya like how the calander is stuck on January!! Wounder why that is???? ;) That calander serves only one purpose and thats the chics in it, the heck with what day it is!!

OK everything is done!!! Now Im just waiting for a couple of buckets to fill up with RO/DI and than Ill fire it up and see if there are any leaks!!!

Rob--since I had to add new bulkheads, (I only had to add 2 )I had to re silicone the gaskets like ya did, its been about 3 hours since I did that. do I have to wait any longer than 4 hours? Cause by the time the buckets are done filling up itll be 4 hours since I siliconed it

And yes there are pics comming up!! :D

Sump room is up and running. I just started to hook the RO/DI unit this morning. I had a couple of very minor drips which I fixed last night, Now that the sump is out from under the stand the temp goes to 77 at night it usually stayed around 79 at night. Its soooo quiet now that all the pumps are in another room. The only thing thats left for me to do to the sump is fix some holes in the wall where I had to change some angles of the plumbing and of course complete the RO/DI hook ups. Here are some pics

Thank thor32766!! I really appericate and its nice to see a new face in the thread, its been awhile since someone new posted on here!!! Thanks again, I will be completing the wall and the RO/DI unit hopefully by tonight, I need to go to HD and get a long drill bit for drilling thorugh the block wall of the house to run some lines for input annd drain. I think ive heard of some people using the waste water for something am I thinking correctly about that?, it would be better than waisting all that water!!

As of today here is what the main tank looks like, still cant see the Zoos and the Toadstool and all the other small things I got in there that great cause of how small they are, one of these days I will be able to get a shot of the tank/stand/canopy and see the corals in it!!
