Here's a few pics of my set-up:

The front: As you can see, the filters have a tight fit

The left side: A Iceprob chiller housed in a AC 20 HOB filter

The right side: A Sanders Piccolo Skimmer housed in a AC 50 HOB filter. This thing works great.

As you can see, I have a lot of circulation in this tank.

Top side view of the set-up: Here's a pic of the light, filter, chiller and skimmer together.

New fan ready for the summer: The Iceprob chiller keeps the water temp. down pretty well, the fan helps keep the temp. more stable.

That looks pretty cool, but I would think it will be hard to keep params stable enough for acros and clams.

It has been up for about 2 months now and everything seems to be ok.

I do how ever have to keep checking the calcium and alk.

an ATO with Kalk should keep things stable

May be, but I don't want to deal with kalk. in a really small tank.

How well does that skimmer work? If I am not mistaken that is a counter current? I thought those were kind of phased out how do they compare with modern skimmers? Thank you. Nice tank.

thats an old school lees skimmer. What us nano tank owners used before the new wave of nano skimmers were out.

It is a Sanders Piccolo skimmer that is housed in AC 150 HOB filter. For me it works great. I get skim all the time.

Sometimes it is best to stay old school.

i still use a lee's and in my 10g sure its not as fancy as some of the newer skimmers available but it was free and it works very well for my needs..

that is a crazy setup though for such s small tank, and with a clam and acro. good luck..

whats your next experiment a living head in a jar?

Ah ya, sanders. Both junk either way you slice it.

Well, this is a free country and you have your and I'm sure others opinion.

This junk works for me. :D

I set this tank up for me and just wanted to share it with yaw.

I don't care what ads, companies, books and pet store say. You don't need a high prices equipment and a big tank to have what I have in my tank.

I love my junk.

If you don't like my pile of juck, then don't look at it. :D
