My 20g with new Aqualight Pro (and how I got it to fit over the tank..)

Hello, first time posting in this forum... but here's some (crappy) shots of my 20g tank, soon converting into a 50g cube (24x20x20) Anyways.. when I got my 24" Aqualight Pro it didn't fit over the tank... I was so bummed. It was too wide, so I gave up and that's why I mainly decided to get the cube. Anyways.. I came upon a thread yesterday with someone who had the same problem... someone told them to invert the mounting legs, and presto! (of course, I tried to figure this out for like 2 hours .. seriously :rolleye1: ) Anywhoo, hours later.. here it is my soon to be 2 year old 20 gallon reef.

(How I got it to fit)

Some bad tank shots, I didn't take the time , I just rushed. You get the idea though. I have a 20k bulb in the light as well, so that's why it's a little on the blue side.

Actnics off..

All the corals seem to be enjoying the extra added actinic suppliment. I only had a 150w HQI over the tank previously.

These are growing like a weed already... that's good, they have great colouration.

Yuma... it's huge right now, but I was at a weird angle shooting the whole thing.

That's it for now. I'll take some more coral shots later on. Thanks for checking it out.

did your fixture come with the 20k bulb? Mine came with a 10k and it's extremly yellow, so i'm going to be going with a 15k. Alot of people that buought this fixture recomend geting the 14k.

No, I never got the 20k with it, I bought it yesterday. The reason I went 20k is because I didn't think I would have the fixture up and running for a while, and didn't have anything to choose from but 10 or 20k.

It came with a 10k, I bought this used, like a month old or something. I bought the 20k brand new locally.

ohhhhhhh ok :D I'm sure the 20k is better than the 10k, i really don't like the 10k very much lol The bulb i want to get is pretty expensive so i have to wait a little bit.

Amber, 20k is better than 10k.. but that's talking Coralife bulbs. I'd recommend a 10k of a better brand, and then suppliment with the actinics.

Thanks jyoon.
