My 24g Aquapod! Tons of pics

no i dont have any harlequins in there but they are one of my favorite animals. I would have them but i run a skimmerless system and dont think i could provide the best enviornment for them to live in so i avoid them.

Bud----like i said before i dont have anything really special in teh first chamber. I just have a piece of egg crate that i cut to fit in there with some filter floss on it to catch detritus and what not. Other than that i just have chemi pure and purigen floating around back there and thats it. Nothing special i guess! ill try to get some pics up here later tonight!

I have the same tank. How noisy are the fans as I am going to order the fans. I just set up my tank and I am already at 87 degrees.
Also I see you changed the output to the power filter in the second chamber. Is that a wave maker or what is it?

im not going to lie the fans make a small amount of noise but its something that i can live with since i keep them on only when the lights are on.

I added a hydor rotating flow deflector to the output and it is awesome. It rotates the water making random water flow through the tank. Idk alot of ppl have had problems with them jamming or what not but i like mine. Great addition. my corals and fish seem to like it also....


new additions to the tank:
Target mandarin......for flatworms then im trading her back!
Pink Spot watchman goby..........freaking awesome fish!!!!

here are some pics of the first chamber like some people requested. The bag you see is the carbon that i run for 3 days a month. I hope this can show how i modded this to work.

I use small pieces of filter floss to hold the egg crate secure so it doesnt fall down....but i can remove it if i have to!

and another pic of the second chamber with the ATO, heater and return pump.....................and my turbo snail!!! im glad i found him!

Ill try to get a full tank shot with the stand and all here tomorrow because im in class all day today pretty much. I will also try to get some pics of my pink spot watchman goby also!

ok i also just put a lid on the tank to help my goby stay inside the water instead of outside the tank on the carpet!!!! its really nothing special just some egg crate that i cut to fit but i like it!

here are some pics of the lid and some full tank night time shots.

i cut it to fit so i can get in the back chambers if needed!

here are some pics so you can see how i modified the stand to make it more sturdy! it was horrible before i added the supports.

They are just wood posts that i painted black. What i did is put felt on both ends of them so that when the tank was filled with water it would compress those down and form a tight grip and make it strudy!

heres a better view....i have them on all 4 corners obviously!!!!!
