Orange Spot Rabbit Fish update

Orange Spot Rabbit Fish update

I reported a few months ago that this guy developed a tast for softies and ripped a part of my zoa colonies. I was able to save one piece and moved it to my frag tank...

After

This guy started nipping at my clams and has been carrying sps frags across the tank so I have spent the last 3 months trying to get him out and I was finally able to remove him yesterday with the help of my DIY fish trap that I made out of some extra acrylic and weldon I had in the fish room.

The best part is that colony has fully recovered and grown in my frag tank

The rabbit fish is now in the frag tank and everything that was in the frag tank has been moved to the dt pending me finding him a new home.

Well fedex delivered on time! the generator is set up and ready to go! I have enough power to run the entire system if I want to and still keep food for the kids and run a tv. Im all set!

Steve - Good luck buddy. Hopefully this storm will not cause any issues! I gave my little generator a test run today so I am prepared on this end.

Hurricane Miracle.....

Hurricane Miracle.....

So we lost power at 6:30pm last night and the generator is working like a charm. While spending some family time staring at the tank, my 4 yr old ask me what these little fish were swimming around.....

I was able to find 4 of them swimming around the tank. I was totally not prepared for this so I dont think there will be a high survival rate.

Usually power outages mean lost livestock, you've gained! Glad things are going as "good" as they can considering the circumstances.

Steve. Section off a small portion of the frag tank, preferably with netting of some sort, and feed them frozen/thawed cyclopeeze ...

This would be my "last minute/surprise" advice, taking into consideration materials/food stuff which you should/likely have on in stock.

Welcome to the club of spawning/breeding Marine Tropicals, best of luck :)
