My 280g Custom upgrade.....

Looking good Steve. Once it is in your basement you will be so relieved! I remember when I was getting mine delivered I was so nervous until the tank was in the basement and stable! Stairs can be tricky. Just make sure the guys are prepared for the weight on the angle. Once that baby starts in motion it is a pain to stop...literally!

Oh good catch on the electrical!

Hopefully it will be on its way to me soon!

Thats my 80g deep blue prof frag tank that is serving as my temporary holding tank for now. I had to take down my 40g before the work could begin in the basement so I used that as an opportunity to upgrade that tank as well :lol2:

Tank is in transit from Canada and the stand is in place and almost ready for the tank....just need to put the Styrofoam on it!!

Great build and thanks for your input on my build. I have one question. Can I use the Seaklear in my live rock bin while using my skimmer. And which product of Seaklear should I use or do you have a better idea?

Thanks for tagging along! I have been watching your progression with getting the scratches out....does not look like fun. Take a look at this thread. There are some different ideas on how people are using seaklear or other products.

I ended up using phosfree because I was able to get twice as much half the price of seaklear. I don't have a skimmer running on the bin right now but haven't noticed any precipitate and I do plan on rinsing off thoroughly before putting them into the tank.

Yes those scratches were not fun but yet the inside is done. Thanks for the link and I will check it out.

I remember how much fun it was when I was a kid and someone got a new appliance in the neighborhood. The was an instant fort. Well the kids on my street will have a blast with this when it arrives. Hopefully it cleared customs yesterday.

So close.....

So close.....

Tank is at a storage facility 20 mins from my house but they cant deliver it until Tuesday....its going to be a long weekend :angryfire:

I've still got an itchy Sohal waiting for that tank...:lmao:

don't let that sohal go!!!! I still want it. I need things to settle down in my 80g before picking it up. With all of the work going on in the basement, I'm guessing some noxious odors got sucked into my water column and things have been looking a little stressed lately. All of my other parameters are spot on so I thru some chemi pure in and have been running my skimmer very wet the last few days. Everything is looking much better now.

Delivery day is tomorrow!!!!!
