My 300 Gallons system build thread....

Wow, Hes beautiful! Nice shots. It always looks to me that when you see a tang face to face they're laughin at me :D How old are they when they get the streamers?

nice set up. I suggest you replace all the clear tubing though. The light will grow algae and eventually start to restrict the ID.

He is looking beautiful! where did you get it?

I special ordered the achilles from WF but unfortunatly, he did not make it.... he was really not interested in eating any kind of food :(

Got it @ Reef solutions, was a pure coincidence, wasn't looking for him, but lets just says that when I saw him, there was no doubt in my minf that he was coming home, actually, there was a doubt when I heard the price, but I was already in love with him, and wasn't a brilliant move cuz he wasn't eating anything and they told me that he hadn't eaten since they got him, but I was sure that he would be happy in my empty tank instead of that 2 x 3 cell he was in.....

Just try to feed 5 minutes ago before going to bed and he hate 5 or 6 piece of brine shrimp, so I have hope for him.

Yeah i lost the achilles, he was not interested in any kind of food even when i was feeding 5 times a day, he showed no interest at all.

If your naso is eating, i have no doubt he will do better in the days to come!

Sorry to hear about your achilles, not an easy one but for sure worth the trouble....one of my fav as well.. I'm a tang lover...

thats one of the fishes that i absolutely want in my tank, but it does not come often around here... :(

I actually had more luck with PBT, up to now, the 2 i had was eating well and lasted, maybe its just me, but i find the achilles harder to keep.

Here is a pic of a male Naso, See the long streamers on his tailfin.

I have always wanted a PBT but steared clear due to stories of difficulty so would be interested how you get on.

Stunning fish BTW

IMO, they're not a difficult fish to keep its just that they need alot of swimming room, flow and rockwork and its that they're skin is thinner so they are more susceptible to ich.JMO
