My 480g plywood tank is nearing completion lots of pics.

Tank looks awesome. I think I might have missed the answer to this but it looks like the water level is down in all the full tank shots, is it just the pictures or is it really lower?

Sorry to hear about the leak. Any thoughts on how the leak happened? Just wondering if you could do it all over again, what might be done differently?

Well great news no leak after all it appears I filled it up too much whiel trying to repair the sump so back to all is clear.

Sorry for the long delay.
As far as the wallsa I dont clean them for fear of damaging the paint.
And some long awaited pics I lost some stuff gained some stuff

Beautiful. I may have to do this when i build a house. This kind of diy makes custom tanks a thing for people on a budget.

Ok its been almost a year since my last update but so here are some new photos I still can't take good whole tank shots either

and for just a general tank update I lost some big colonies a year and half ago and have been removing a few as well to make room for some nicer stuff. Started Vodka dosing in December though not enough to bring down nitrates really. Also I hooked up a fairly large frag tank a year ago and have been growing out a fiarly large number of frags since then

Wow. Never seen a wood aquarium , that looks like fun to build. The tank and corals look amazing. Sorry to hear about the large colony's dying.

In the future I would urge you to leave the old dead colonies in the tank and put small frags on them. Eventually they will be covered over by corraline and overgrown by healthy colonies. I think it gives a very natural look.
