i thought i would share my tank that i bring along with me every summer i go to a new or the same city for my summer job. the first 3 pics are of it when i got here and the last one is of my rearranging it just right now.

the specs are:

5 gallon oceanic tank with a false DIY overflow
Maxijett 400 return pump
2 18w Coralife PC lights

i use to put a nano skimmer on the back, but this year i am going to do a refugium on the back.

Very nice little set up. Congrats on being able to keep a pico tank. It isn't an easy task and takes some work. If you would care to at a meeting, maybe you could give a little talk on it and tell all of us how you take care of it. Thanks for starting the thread, very interesting.

ya i would love to be able to go to the meetings. next one you guys have, ill mark it on my calendar and see if i can make it. Sundays are my only days off.

Im looking for zoos, so if you guys have some, let me know. i want a zoa dominated tank bc last summer was a sps dominated.

you could just bring it to the meeting for a demo....just put it in your back pack and go.

do you use an ATO or just top it off manually.

Johnny the riddler is scaring me its not growing like mine I m at 13 eyes it's my retirement Haha but yours is slowly coloring up just no growth

Little tank is filling up nicely. Corals look great. I love the idea of a traveling tank and wish I had something like that with me now as I am away for a three month contract and miss the hell out of my tanks.

Great job!

Great looking little tank! My wife wants to start a pico after we get our bowfront going. She saw one not to long ago that was a seahorse/algae pico. It was of the hook as your is. This hobby is just like your favorite potato chip, you just can't have one! Thanks!
