My 500 + gallon system. Last 13 years to now. Build, Aquascaping & more. Lots of pics

Glad to see you are back and posting updates on your amazing system. A lot to be learned from reading through this thread. Great Job.

How is that ATO system working out (genesis)

Corey

My ATO is handled by my Apex which has always worked great. The Genesis is the Renew system which is handling my automatic water changes. I was using a Litermeter 3 for automatic water changes prior to the Genesis Renew. I do like the Renew and it's been working perfectly.

Hey Scott how do you feel about the new rave of wavemaker, namely the wp40? The price is excellent and people are loving them. Love the tank. Cheers

I like the wave makers but since I have been personally burned in business and paying dearly as a result of Chinese counterfeit products, I'm not keen on companies that copy other peoples designs and the Jaebo is clearly a Tunze knock off at least from a physical standpoint. At least with Jaebo, it's no secret. In my case a supplier pulled a fast one on me and screwed me royally. Obviously, I am predispositioned and clearly biased.

Having said that, I am very happy with my Tunze's and the fact that they include a good warranty that is backed by a good service and support here in the states. I'd rather pay more for piece of mind and high quality than pay less for something I know is essentially disposable. Especially when I reflect on the investment I have in my tank. Of course that is just my tank and there are many people out there who are getting good results out of the Jaebo's and willing to take the risks of failure knowing the costs are cheap. I'm just not one of those for the reason's I've mentioned above.

I love the upgrades you have done really shows how much progress you achieved through the years. And that skimmer is just, WOW
