No not really. The evap cooler does most of the work. From about mid July thru mid September I need to run the AC unit in there.

I have just a quick question for you.
Do you run a UV on your FreshSaltWater container?
i ask, because on a DFWMAS forum, there was a person talking about having some major problems, and it was narrowed down to the salt water holding tank housing bacteria that was bad for the tank. (the more WC's they did the worse things got)
it was toxic.
They said that putting a UV on was able to knock out the problem and allow the tank to recover......
im not saying yrou having the same problem... but im saying it might be worth looking in to
Oh, and that skimmer looks good, except there wasnt much in the cup. are you still only running it a few hours a day?
lastly... the CL locline didnt look like much was coming out. the tangs were picking on it and it wasnt blowing them much....
do you run the VFD all the time... and how is it currently working?

I dont have anything but a power head in the NSW container. It does grow some thin brown algea but that seems to be it. The tank has really come around alot since the bulbs were replaced, and I off set the CA and ALK dosing. The skimmer drains directly to the sewer so there is never anything in the collection cup and its running about 16 hours a day.
The VFD must have been off for the tang to be munching on the loc line. The VFD's are always cycling.
Still dosing. I was thinking about hooking up my CA reactor but now that things are hitting their stride I dont want to mess with anything.

You need a bigger skimmer to handle all the biological load from the big fish.
