My 6205 Streams

We haven't received any yet but it shouldn't be much longer until they start coming in.

Roger any update's on the 6205, are they going to be using the same clips that your having problems with the nanos. or will this be corrected

djay, the new tunze stream 6205 already available in U.S but very limited. The clips on the stream 2 is much stronger and they use different material.

thanks, any info on issue's they may be having if any.

I currently test run all the stream 2 since Oct. I have 6065, 6085, 6125, 6105 and 6205 all running in 3 55g bin. No controller on the controllable pump and no problem to report so far. The clips is super strong on the new stream 2. I plan to run 8 tunze 6205 in the bottom of my new tank along with 2 tunze 6305 on top.

Does anyone know when these (and especially the 6105) will be widely available?

I'm setting up my new 250 thiS month and would like to use (2) of the 6105's and a 7096 controller as soon as it comes out.

Ryan, the 6105 should be available already but the controller won't be available till Dec or Jan. Check out Marine depot, Finsreef and Premium aquatic.

Are you sure 2 tunze 6105 will be enough for 250g system?

Marine depot and Finsreef don't have the 6105 on their websites yet and premium aquatics only has it as a pre-order. They aren't expecting theirs until mid to late this month.

I hope 2 will be enough. The tank is only 65" long. The tank will be viewable from both sides so my plan is to have the 2 6105's on end and about the returns on the other side (about 1200+G/hr).

The 6105 has come into the US in VERY small quantities, the 6205 has not started shipping yet to dealers to my knowledge but a few might have come in recently. Production of these started off very slow as they tested all the individual driver boards for the first 500 units etc... I believe they expect to be up to full production capacity for at least the 6105 sometime this month. As production is ramped more of course will come in, pre-orders from dealers will get filled faster and will start seeing them on a store shelf here and there. Roger should have the most current info when he returns on Wednesday as Mr Tunze is in the US visiting.

As for the clips on the nanos this was correctly quite a while ago. The new clips do not break and are made of a different material from Lexan to Luran, also the tabs are thicker. All the requests you see for people needing replacements are for older clips to get upgraded.

:strange: Strange guy you are Steve!

OK, Steve - since I'm the OP and not a hater and you have seen the new 6205s running and I have pre-ordered 4 of them - tell me all about how great they are. Don't hold anything back ....

They are quieter, smoother start and stop (thanks to the thick titanium shaft), no vibration, no rocking motion when change from 30%-100%, clip on fish safe screen cover instead of wrap around the nozzle, solid build C clamp, super strong magnet (be really careful with that magnet. it bites :D). My original plan was 6x6305 but after running the 6205 for a few weeks i decided to stay with the 6205. With the C clamp mounting style you can do alot with it :D. I will mount all my pump in the bottom of the tank just like CL style except it will be powerful, less energy consumption and greater coverage. I figured out the way to hide all the wire inside 1/2" sch 40 gray PVC pipe as i mount the pump in the bottom. I will have 8 pumps in my peninsula tank, 4 on each side. Left side on channel 1a, 1b via Y adapter, Right side on channel 2a, 2b via Y adapter. 7095 Controller on interval 2 30%-100% for 1.5 sec for 30 sec turnover. All pumps will be on night mode (fish gotta sleep too ).

2 Tunze 6305 will be mounted on the 4 foot side panel flow across the 8 foot length point toward the surface on 7096 controller. Setting is TBD, i need to learn more about the controller but it will be on light mode as well. 4 Tunze external wavebox will be controlled by the 6091 wave controller via Y adapter also on night mode. Tank will have 500lbs of rock, 240lbs sand 3mm-5mm size.

Each fish will receive a strong dose of steroid prior to entering the tank

Just to clarify, the 6205 IS NOT available. The only one in the US is the one Steve has and it was a gift for volunteering to help Rodney at Reefapalooza. It is an early sample the 6205 is not in production yet. The 6105 has been coming in in very limited numbers, 52 have entered the US market so far.
