My adventure at...tide pools!

Over spring break I am in San Diego, got in late last night. Today I went to the tidepools! I took most of these pics, unless my hands are in them, in that instance Richard took the pics cuz well, I had critters in my hands!

The absolute highlight of my adventures at the tide pools, however, was catching this guy!!!!!

Here he is munching on a crab. Notice that in a few of the remaining pictures he took his dinner "to go"

It was in north Pacific Beach/La Jolla. We're going to Carlsbad tomorrow, and maybe UCSD aquarium as well.

I loved the Tide pools at Moro Bay and Monterry Bay! Had tons of fun.....I am planning a trip to a more tropical area to check out the warmer water creatures after experiencing that....

How did you see that little octo?

I didn't see him at first, I saw movement and then went after where i saw the movement. I thought it was a fish till I caught it! Richard says that he's seen octos at tidepools before, but he's never seen anyone catch them. I guess I'm just good at catching things

The stores here are CRAZY! Some awesome livestock (3-4" juvi false personifier angel, juvi achilles, crazy wrasses that I can't identify, etc) and GOOD PRICES! I'm afraid that going to the LFS here in San Diego has ruined me for life

I'll continue to post pics of the goings on while I'm here, if you guys want to see them. They may not all be of fish stuff. Today we're going to bigger tidepools where there are supposed to be sharks :eek1: and Scripps Aquarium. Tomorrow we're going to the San Diego Zoo, and Monday we're going to the Wild Animal Park. So, I'll be taking tons of pics!!!
