My Aquaforest cube, just the way I like it!

It's sooo hard for me to find nice stuff when I see something like these I have to pull the trigger. Hopefully they do well for me and first off ship well. I have always wanted a tricolor mille or prostrata. The yellow with blue body tenuis I got from these guys has really colored up nicer than I thought it would so I am going with one that has even more color.

These are the vendors pics.

Colonies but thoes are very small maricultures, especially the first pic. At least looks to be that way from my experience ordering thoes types of acros. There was a couple other beautiful tenuis but the nice one looked too much like a disney acro.

Hey piper Paul, now THAT was a right up!
You and your wife clearly share the passion. That's awesome!
Nice tank and cool mad scientist system. Love it! I'm jealous.
That skimmer is certainly a Frankenstein beast and I have to say that I'm with Mike, that skimmate shot has a particularly acute disgustingness to it!
I might have missed it, what is on the bottom of your display?
Looking forward to seeing how you play with the AF products and how your system evolves.

Wow stunning tank so far. You've got a great collection.

Thanks!

The display is barebottom, is that what you were asking? I think it has some kind of board glued on the bottom as well. It I forget what exactly, maybe starboard or something.

Thanks!

Yep, thanks. Just wasn't sure if it was sand, deep or shallow or what.

Could be an Indo mariculture. I will ask where they originated. Unfortunately no LFS anywhere near me get any acropora and rarely get any shipments of new corals in. If they do they are definatly not nice like thoes pieces. And the standard mariculture will be sold for $100-$150 and average small wild collected for more. That forces me to buy from only a couple of retailer/wholesalers that I trust. I feel like I need to do something about the nonexisent acropora market here around dc. Certainly non of the stores around here are able to keep wild acropora in good shape for any length of time and some don't even know how :debi:

There are a lot of new pieces in these pictures and I can't wait to see how they color up. I swear I will get the real camera out next time guys :)
I also thought about posting a few pictures from our past tanks but I might wait til we find the disk with the best pics on it.

Looks great man. That's a lot of frags in that one area, when they grow out it will be a tangled web of coral color!!!!

Corey

That rock on the top of the glass is a mag rock frag rack which I am unsure about keeping. Plus I will be moving things around as things grow, fragging to make things grow a certain way and or getting rid of certain ones if I don't like how they grow or look. So for the near future things should be ok. Once I hook up the calcium reactor and my hands are out of the tank for good it may get a little packed. That is if things go the way I hope :)

Things are finally starting to look good in my tank so I took some pictures with one of our cameras. I finally got nutrients down to undetectable and things really perked up. I was away for a week and came back to a beautiful tank thank God! I don't really care for undetectable nutrients but I am trying to get some algae to back down in one of the tanks and we feed so much I know there is plenty of nutrients in the water. I am going to try and run things "uln" for a good while. Hopefully all the new corals will color well under these conditions.
I have been getting really great sponge growth and huge populations of micro brittle starfish, tunicates, all kinds of pods and all that good stuff. If I pick up a frag I can pull maybe 5 or 6 mini brittles off the bottom. I have been dosing spongepower for the past month or two but I am not sure it's exactly the cause of the population bloom of stuff. It's very enjoyable watching this system and I hope you guys like my updates.

WOW,
Looking really nice, great update :) I love them tenuis, but that last millie is something special indeed!
