My Australian 950lt SPS tank

I totally agree. I hate when those guys post especially when its less than a sentence. I believe everyones thread count would be 50 - 100 post less because of these guys. But your corals are beautiful. Amazing colors.

Totally agree he's trying to get to the for sale threads.50+ posts in 1 day. He should have read the entire bylaws and realized you can't speed up time, unless he has a time machine then he's all good. The system is looking awesome and the camera skills are showing big time..

Your thread was the first I read on doing a diluted LaCl regime. Glad to see its working for you and reefkeeper plus a whole lot more that I don't know about lol and now I have another tool in my arsenal assault on p04 =).. I have a spare dosing pump that will be used if needed.. And keep up with the screen saver quality pics I'm loving them..

Great tank! I came across this in researching BB setups as we're in the process of starting up a 6x2x2 mixed system (which will undoubtedly eventually become SPS dominant haha). I live in Ballarat, Victoria. Do you know of a place to get dry rock? I'm figuring I'll scape/stock most of it dry and then pick up a few live pieces when the time comes to seed. We're just starting on improving/finishing the stand today so things are finally started!

i love the photo of the clown hiding in his anemone in between all those colorful SPS colonies. Amazing, most of us can only dream to create something like that in our tanks!

Great pics, stunning SPS!
:P

Thanking you kind Sir

Hi there! the RTAW forums often have dry rock avail. i saw some on their for $4 per kg recently. How much rock are you after for a 6x2x2?? Gone are the days of nutrient collecting rock walls that fill half the tank, that was just an LFS money making scheme to get customers to buy HEAPS of live rock. it is not required.. 1-1.5 boxes (20-30kg) of good liverock is all you will need AT MOST in a 6x2x2. Anymore just collects detritus.

awwwww. its all within everyones grasp. just remember my basic SPS rules and dont forget to keep it simple. :)

Nice tank
:)

Yeah I scour the RTAW classifieds daily haha. I'll keep an eye out for sure. I'm thinking *Maybe* 40KG total. Enough for two decent islands and maybe something in the middle. Tossing around ideas still as we're just on the stand at the moment. I can't decide between Zeovit or not...or barebottom or shallow bed...so many decisions

Hi all,

Bit of an update.... Tank is going well, with a nice new GEO calcium reactor from the US of A. :)
I had a bit of spare time lately so I got out the camera for a few shots...

This variant of Acropora microclados sp., lacks the 2 tone yellow/pink coloration that your typical strawberry shortcake displays, this one has a green base, with white, pink and blue throughout the stem and corallites!
