Hi guys, a fair bit has been going on with the tank lately, first off, a case of the dinos since the lighting upgrade, I turned off carbon and dosed a 3ml hydrogen peroxide solution @ 1ml per 10gal morning and night for a week until my new 200mg/h ozonizer arrived. I think(hope) I have it under control. Anyway, ive been experimenting with some pics lately, as im trying to capture the true colors of corals instead of following the trend of having blue pics lately, so im adding a little flash to some of these, with the flash quite under exposed, so the effect is quite minimal.... anyway, on with the show!

Wow nice collection.

I find it funny that most guys from AUS Say they don't have the variety (aquacultured)of guys in the US and the US guys like myself are always envious of what the (maricultured)AUS guys have LOL.. thanks for sharing your tank I really like the variety you have going on and some colors I have never seen here in the US..

Hi Mark, I will get some equipment shots next time :)

My friend brought his PAR meter over tonight, so I was tied up doing that..

A big thansks to Nathan (ssscuz) for bringing his new toy over!

Hi Bello, in the frag tank pics, the lights are removed to view the corals, and the illumination in the pic is from a globe over some macro, but frag rack lighting consist of 4 x 24w T5's - all actinic! In my opinion, this produces the best color in the frags, which is what i desire.

Wow, I didnt realise corals can colour up under such a limited spectrum. Makes me wonder what is the issue with LED's then because of LED units have a greater range of spectrum compared to T5 actinic tubes.

What combo of T5 front to back are you using over your display?

Thanks for the PAR measurements.

Hi Sahin, Im sorry but i dont understand your post. My tank lighting is full spectrum (all T5's), and there are no LED's on this tank at all.

Jason, see your earlier post quoted and bolded. So, what I am saying is this: You run all actinic T5's over your frags. This isnt full spectrum, yet manages to colour up corals. But, there are LED setups with a least a greater spectral range compared to a bunch of T5 actinics and people cant colour up corals.

Hope that makes sense. LOL.
