My bad experience at aqua life

Made a visit to Aqualife today with a few friends. We all felt like a criminal being watched and followed around the store, like we were going to steal there sick a dying fish. I will never go back to that store again.

Call and talk to Aaron, the manager, and tell him of your experience and why you won't be back. Recently when I have gone in on Sunday I have not seen Aaron there. He's a pretty stand up guy, and if you feel there is a problem with his employees then I think he deserves a chance to repair the relationship. I've been going there for a very long time and it is my fav local store...and I make the drive from Elk Grove.

u know, i got the same experience going to that store. i don't feel comfortable shopping w/ someone watching me every corner i turn.

:) :) If you look anything like your avatar, I bet they'd be watching you every corner you turn. :)

i'm sure of it. they're(employees) standing at the corner where you can't really see them. if they wanted to see if i needed some help, coral/fish bagged... they could come up and ask.
on one of my visits to that store... i was staring at this particular macro algae they had in the tank for like 20 mins and flagged one of the employees down to purchase it.

If someone stared at a "plant" in my store for 20mins I would have already punched up 9 - 1 and had my finger hovering!

One of the employees was acting like he was cleaning a tank. When we first walked in he had just finished cleaning that same tank then made a comment on how good the tank looked. 15 minutes later he was back cleaning the same tank that just happened to be in the same area we where looking at fish at

Hey Rich - is that my quote? :D

I have been to Aqualife a few times, and I have never had problems with them. It could be a specific employee. I only wish Aqualife was closer to me. It's a long drive from Davis out to Aqualife.

i went w/ a group of friends and they felt the same way also... i'm not bashing that store. i think its a really nice store and has a great selection compared to some of the ones that are closer. just expressing our opinion based on our experience at that store.

I'm bashinhg the store because I have spent a ton of money there. I was there to pick up 6 bags of salt and a very expensive angel fish they had in stock. The best thing I can do is stay out of the store. Start makeing the drive back to exotics

Believe me, you don't want to waste your time at Exotic. They have gone so far downhill in the past two years. I still say you should call and talk to Aaron.

Sam, were all of you O>O staring at a plant for 20 minutes?

You know I'm just busting your chops for staring at a plant for 20 minutes. If it had been my shop you would have been tasered ;-)

Not to hijack the thread, but Sam you should see the "braids" on my rasta snails. On one snail they're like 3 inches long. I'll bring one to the meeting for you. New macro and free snail to boot.

perhaps i'm just ignorant to their prying eyes but i haven't noticed any of the aqualife employees watching my every move. i'm sorry that that happened to you guys creeper and blue...next time, say something to them or stare right back. i've had the guys at aqualife and at exotic stare at me before...but i always chalk it up to the fact that my girlfriend is usually with me and, seeing how they work at a fish store, they don't see many women. :D

i'll be heading to aqualife in a few hours (it's my birthday and the gf might buy me a coral if there is anything nice)...i'll keep an eye out for the prying eyes. :)
