My Bigger Piece of the Reef (LotsOPics)

I have been reading your build for a couple of days now. thanks for reminding me why I am getting back into this hobby again.

Very nice job on your tank and glad to see all is good with your system.

"then the male died. I think she wore him out. I was able to get a replacement and it only took a week for them to mate."

Classic (wish i met a girl like that lol)

Also congrats to a few people here who gave great advice along the way.

Thanks for sharing your build. How is you hood going etc.

Thanks for the compliments... everyone. I am a displaced mortgage broker and money is tight... so I haven't built the hood and supplimental lighting yet.

A friend gave me a bunch of new corals... so it's starting to look better. I'll post some new pics later.

Here's the updates...

It's temporary. I have a Barracuda on my closed loop and it's ristricted by about 40%. Right now, I only have the two outlets in the lower corners. Once I have the canopy installed... I am going to run a pipe over the top of the lighting and attach it to a Wavy Sea in that spot. Then, I can turn up the flow.

I am curious as well, It's been almost a year sense the last post. I would love to see an updated photos of what the tank looks like now..

The foam is holding up well... but, I had a long fight with cyano. I think that the lack of circulation behind the wall might have created a good spot for detritus to build up. It has also led to issues with my sps. I have lost a few good sized colonies in the last couple of months. On the bright side... my banggaiis have pretty much paid for the upkeep. I get a batch of 40+ every 5 weeks... which fetches about $300 a month.

I'll try to get some new pics this weekend.
