My Black Ocellaris pair are spawning!!!

OK, I got to page 7 yesterday reading this. I went out and got a 2 BW Percs and a carpet :)

Waiting for babies. The perc's have already made friends. It's obvious in this group which is the female already. Waiting to have clutches, hope its just a few months away.

Thanks Featherdusters. I'm glad you are enjoying the thread. I'm going to upload some more pictures this weekend. I started feeding the youngest some BBS tonight. Hopefully none die... When they get to 7-8 days they eat so much I can't dump enough rotifers in to satisfy them.. They need something meatier. Good luck with yours 05 turbos2k.

I don't have much to update really. They ate most of the last nest. There is probably 100 eggs left. I doubt I'll bother rearing them. We'll see, I'm a sucker. I bought the wood to build a 8x2ft rack system to house 10 tanks and my phyto / rots. It will be sooo nice having everything in 1 place. I also bought myself a Canon Rebel XTI digital SLR so I'm posting a bunch of pics :)

Here's the youngest ones they are now 9 days old. There is 2 that haven't finished Meta yet. 1 looks like a Larvae still. Its funny because most are getting 2 stripes now. They are on BBS / Rots since yesterday with no deaths from the BBS. I've fed a bit more sparingly this time perhaps that's the ticket. I think there are about 150 / 200 left.

Thanks agansoo I'm going to sell them justartedreefer. Yes the ammonia alert works great parkpark. I think most breeders use them. Here they are $10 and last a year.

I can see the eyes now. This is so cool. I might have missed it, but what time at night were yours hatching? Is it around the same time everytime? Great pics of babies BTW :D

Great job rkelman, got myself a pair of those last week. Hopefully they'll mate in the future and I will follow on how you have raise them, seems like a great guide.

Dude... rkelman... cannot thank you enough for your thread!

I have recently become interested in breeding, now I'm already hooked just as bad as when I first wanted a reef tank! :D This is definitely the next step for me in this hobby. I'm working on getting my first job out of college this summer... if I do, we're renting a house with a basement and/or garage that is all MINE AND MY FISH'S! lol

Thanks again, bro!

I finally got around to building my rack for my Clowns. I just finished the electrical today. Its 8ft long x 2 ft wide x 36" tall to the top shelf. I'm going to keep all the tanks up top and my Phyto / Rots ect down below. I have 7 outlets up top for the tanks (i'm going to have 8 up there) and 2 on the lower shelf. All protected by a GFI of course on a dedicated circuit. I installed 2 4ft light fixtures up top for the Clowns and one below on its side for the Phyto which is replacing a single bulb 2 ft lamp. I shouldn't have to rotate my bottles to get even cultures anymore. It also give me room to grow 10 bottles of phyto if I want to. Its going to be nice having everything in one place finally. Here's some pics.

Very nice, man!

How many tanks are you thinking of putting on there? I'm assuming more than the two that reside there now. ;)
