My Breeding attempt - Perculas:

I occassionally let a clutch hatch out in the parent tank and it seems that the next few clutches of eggs look somewhat bigger. I guess it has something to do with letting the parents get back to "nature" (which may also help if you move the parents to another tank). I agree with Bill, parent nutrition is very important so you can't skimp on their food. Maybe try feeding less but more often.

SPLIITTTTTTTTT! Alright, Chris- Maybe all you needed to do was split the thread and THEN it'll all be down hill from here! Do you think you are going to remove the 'rents from the DT and setup a breeding system?

WooHoo it split

I had thought the same thing when i let a clutch go in the tank, the next one seems larger. I am trying the less but more often approach for now with the feedings.

Thanks i can only hope that it gets better but my next clutch is due to hatch on the 1st. you know April foooools day so we shall see, lol. For now i am leaving them in my dt i still have not decided on what to do.

Update well i finally did it!! I got my first sale i was in my lfs on Friday and one of the owners said she did not want to wait any longer she wanted me to bring in 10 of the babies so i agreed after telling her that they are still pretty small around 3/4" of an inch.

You will have to excuse the photo & video quality if i had known they were going to do something this cool i would have had my good camera with me, all i had though was my blackberry storm so here are some shots of the little ones, never have seen an anemone before and it took all of about 2 minutes for 6 of them to claim their new home.

I ended up being at the store for over an hour talking with the owner and answering questions from customers about the little ones as well, i have to admit that i was just as excited seeing them in a big tank and acting like clownfish as the day i saw my first head stripe:

Congrats! I am sure you'll be back a few times with your camera to visit the little guys.

Very cool. Still only 3/4"? You are feeding them right? :)

Sure do; this batch is still young only 4 months old, they are a little smaller then what i wanted to do but my lfs is up for sale and one of the owners wanted to see some in her tanks before leaving.

My 9 month old ones i have 1 who is now starting his 3rd stripe finally.......

Well, that's it. This thread is surely done for, as you've just gone commercial.

IBTL!

:D

I sure hope your joking... I thought it was ok as long as we are not talking about price right? Can anyone confirm that?

Well, I can joke all I want. You've got a moderator hanging out in this thread, he'll chime in if there is anything to worry about. :)
