90gallon Slanted ALLLLLL STARPHIRE Slanted front tank

pacific sun hyperion r2 2X145W
PM Skimmer and Sump
uv system I hope I dont need

It has been 3 weeks since I joined Reef Central. And I have been reading for a little longer. I started with a small 17g ada style cube about 6 months ago. And I have not got alot of work done since. I am trying to buy the nicest components and have given up on saving money. Picked up my pacific sun light last night and I am getting close to adding the water. I am looking for crazy aquascaping ideas or any comments good or bad... and any equipment suggestions. Using AI EXT mounting system for pac sun light....

That's a great start, but this is the 180+ gallons display tank forum. Perhaps you could ask one of the moderators to move it to a more appropriate forum on RC.

?? Nothing to do with what's in it. Its the designation of the forum. Beautiful build so far. You've just put it in the wrong place.

If I kept things in the right place , I would not have so many kids.

Touché! That's the best response I've seen on this forum yet! :lolspin:

Welcome to RC! That is a very unique design for the display with the slant on the front glass. What made you decide to go with that? By the way, good luck with your build!

I went with a slanted front mainly due to the fact I have never actually seen one. in fact I still never seen one with water in it. I have no idea what this is going to look like. water should be here tuesday or wens. picked up 50lbs pukani Live rock from a friends massive system. It could look really cool, or not. I just dont know. I think there are things like maxima clams that will look amazing in front slant. this will be a really coral heavy tank. Please any suggestions?? I thought I was going to use an apex, but it seems less likely as every component I keep buying seems more high tech than the next.

Here is a slanted front tank. This was the first things I thought of when I saw your tank in this thread.

What did you do to the slots in your overflow? It looks like some were cut out. If they are, I'd be worried about fish escaping through there and finding their way into the sump. Every now and then I find fish and snails from my display in my filter socks and my overflow slots are pretty narrow compared to what I think I see in those photos.

I have 2 returns that fill in those 2 large gaps but now that I am looking slots do look a little Large. hmmmm, any Ideas on fixing that??
