anemone

I got a blue carpet anemone about 10 inches big. He is doing well but i cant tell if he is eating I have only had him 1 and a half weeks.

Well, as far as hosting goes, a maroon clown does not naturally host with a carpet anemone, gigante or haddoni, so he may never host to be perfectly honest with you.

Take a pair of feeding tongs or twezzers and place a silverside, or other meaty food, on the anemone near the mouth. Carpet anenomes, in partucular haddoni, are pretty sticky so the food should stick easily. You'll know if it is feeding because it will take the food into it's mouth.

I tried that with some krill but he just let it go he never moved it to his mouth.

how old is your tank? and what kind of lighting do you have?

Try "tickling" the anemone around the mouth with a silverside. This will sometimes trigger a feeding response. FWIW, Blue carpet anemones are very difficult to keep. They need bright lighting and strong water movement.
