My clownfish eye popped

Hi,

After some ick issues I stopped raising fishes for 4 weeks now...also got a UV sterilizer running for a while (24w for 32 gallon).

3 days ago I got a pair of black saddle clown... Yesterday when I feed them they were still ok. But after afternoon...all in a sudden, the left eye of the bigger fish almost popped out! Just like being punch and got swollen. The eye itself was not clowdy....

So what do I need to do to treat them? Is it casued by "being bite" or some bacteria causing the problem? If it heals (luckily) will its vision become permeant damage?

I though the UV sterilzer will be able to help to reduce the parasite or bacteria? If it does not work, does it mean my fish will still be under the risk of the ick attack?

Hope you can share your experience... MOney is one thing and i feel very bad about the fish (if I were not doing a great job to raise them).

Thank you for your help.

No sure how much flow through the sterilizer you have, but id think a 9watt or something below 20watts would suit a 32gal display. At 400gph a 25w sterilizer would be ideal for roughly 150g tank

All UV sterilizer you can buy in fish stores are only suited to fight algae or bacteria blooms but not diseases.
Even the large commercial units with hundreds of watts are only good to limit the spread of pathogens but are not suited as a treatment potion.
