My cool patterns Goldbar Maroon babies

Just letting everyone know that they are not FS so please dont ask or pm me.
Im keep them till they are mature to see how they turn out. I have never see any GSM babies like this other then the Lightning Maroon from PNG.
When time to find new home for them, I will post another thread.
Thanks

That makes me sad panda. I really wanted one. Out of curiosity when you are ready to sell some fry are you willing to ship?

Wow, cool little patterns. Congrats! How long have you been breeding? Do you have picks of your setup? I'd love to see.

Just start breeding clownfish.
Pics of my brookstock tank. Its a 29g plumbed to my 300g reef tank.

very nice!! Those patterns are crazy cool :) I wouldn't breed them to their brothers and sisters though. Get another to add to the gene pool if you can.

Thanks and why not?
I think i will get more crazy patterns if I breed brothers and sisters.

Thanks and Brandon(Aquanerd) is a good local friend.

for genetic diversity reasons :) I would venture to guess they NEVER breed with siblings in the wild. It's natures way of diversity.

Nope. This still hasn't changed. Only one in captivity, and after a year of "watching" it, the owner now decides it a) was a male, and b) it turning it female. If judging progress by the past 1.5 years, I wouldn't hold your breath for any offspring anytime this decade.

BTW - both of the above pics are of the same fish.

Just to clarify this post. The fish is currently paired up with a PNG male, you can't force it to spawn.

Nope, you can't. But you can do much more than watching it for over a year just to determine if it's a male or female. Overall, it's bee a huge let down to the hobby. All that hype, the blog, only to be used as a person's private soapbox for their agenda without any real results (other than keeping it alive). A true breeding clownfish expert wouldn't have taken this long to determine sex, and had something more to show for it right now (other than a fancy display tank from sponsors).

Thanks, but I didn't need any clarification.

And since it's now paired with a male, turning female will postpone any successful spawning by up to two years or more. It already was female, and with dilegence could have been producing eggs right now. Only since this decision was made can I agree with others that it really is a waiting game right now (one that IMO didn't need to be played)

going by his blog,we should get some good news soon...it's better late than never....

gotta say, I have never been a fan of GSM clowns but there is no question Mike that you have some of the nicest, most unique GSMs I have ever seen since the Lightning Maroon...

I wish you continued success and thank you for sharing yet another one of Mother Nature's spectacular morphs..

all the best,
C :)

The over feeding might be why they are have those extra spots, it looks like your set up has alot of extra nutrients.

They are pretty cool looking babies thou. The cleaner the water the higher the chance of having full barred true to form GSM.

Nice looking babies! My wife and I bought a pair of GSM for her tank and the female is "misbared" I assumed she would grow out of it. I guess we shall see!

I dont think so. I do the same thing to my Ocellaris clownfish babies and they all have full bar.
Will post a pic of them in a min.
