My coral banded shrimp be picking off fish.

I have a decently sized coral banded shrimp and I have a few missing fish. I just put him in my sump do you think he could've been picking or fish at night when they were sleeping I do see him reaching out to grab them but are they really capable of taking a fish down?

Yes, they can take out sleeping fish.

The coral banded at my LFS keeps trying to take me out too.

Coral banded shrimp are oppertunistic. When underfed or hungry in general they will take the oppertunity to eat a slow, sleeping, or sick fish infront of them.
