Sorry if the pic quality isn't the best with a phone camera.

Any comments appreciated

What settings to you have them at? How long have the corals been under the lights? Corals look good! I am also running AI's

You have had them up for 9 month, coloration looks good but how about the growth? I am about to put 2 on my 75 gallon and curious. Also are you happy with how bright the tank is? I am concerned about the over all brightness, to your eyes does the tank look dim at all.

Here are some photos

You be the judge and let ne know what you think of the growth

Wow, that first piece is stellar. What'd you do with all the mushrooms? LOL that is a ridiculous amount.

Most of the mushrooms were sold to my lfs in exchange for replacement live rock and store credit for the mushrooms. Some had to be eradicated from the tank with Aiptasia-X. They are virtually impossible to completely get rid of and I still continue to have afew that I battle weekly. They regenerate from the ones located in areas I can't get to because of rock formation.

My suggestion is to go find some way to look at a few tanks in person & come to your own conclusions on coverage & brightness.

I've seen quite a few LED setups in person & it was a lot easier for me to make long term & short term decisions on what I'm going to do.

Thanks for those growth pictures everything looks really good.

Big E, ya I have visited a few LFS and several local reefers houses. Most of the local boys that run them have softies and LPS and are seeing really good results, but I wanted to see some more results with SPS. I am concerned with brightness of 2 on a 4 foot tank, so I will just have to hang them knowing I might have to go to a third or maybe just 2 T5's for aesthetic reasons. But atleast I am going into it with my eyes open.

That's cool.............the eyes don't lie in person.

Im the same way with buying acros..........if I can't see it in person I don't want it.

Hkgar, how are you liking the general coverage of 2 units on your 90 gallon? Does the tank look bright? I know it isnt going to be the same as a MH/T5 combo but want to know if you feel like the tank is dim with lots of shadows.

I am very satisfied with the "brightness" and don't see any shadowing. I have a par meter and do see a drop off of par as you move away from the center of the light, but our eyes can't discern a difference in par

I have the lights set up going from side to side, not front to back.

Here is a shot of how I have them mounted. I cut a hole in the top of my canopy and used wire shelving to mount them.

Great thread hkgar!!
Can I ask you the dimension of your tank just to figure what sort of coverage you get?
I planning on two for a future 155g 60x27x22 with two main islands or rocks.
I know I could put easily a third light but it's cost engaging.
But I'm coming from a 150w MH with 2 65w PC growing sps so I should be happy with these two.
