My first attempts at macro

Well my brother who lives an hour away from me bought the Canon 100mm f/2.8. I just borrowed it today and I've got to give it back soon, so I put it to use quickly ;) These are my first attempts and I'm happy with them.

And then some freshwater macros... the cherry shrimp is about 0.75", the amano (clear one) shrimp is about 1.25" and the bamboo shrimp is about 2".

And then I tried some macro snow ;)

How fun, I love macro! Great shots of the shrimp. The coral shots were cool to but the shrimp were so...unique. I just don't see many good shrimp macros, and if so certainly not that species. Cool! :)

My humu's teeth. I hear him chomping all the time but I never can see his teeth, but this new macro lens let me get them in all their glory. Surprisingly rounded actually.

It's really tough... I tried to get teeth pictures of my fish and the humu is the only one I succeeded in, with as much as they move around it's really hard to get a nice macro shot, especially since it's all manual focus.

To be honest, I'm not sure what type of discus it is... I bought it in 1999, it's the oldest fish I "know". I bought it as an "assorted discus" and had it in a 75g at work for a couple years, then transferred the tank it was in to my friend's house for a couple years, then transferred it back to my house for a couple years, and now my brother has had it for a couple years... that fish gets around :)
