Just thought I'd share some pictures of my about 3.5"- 4" new G. Chiragra. Its my first mantis (well my N. Wennerae passed on within 48 hours of getting him..:( ). Even though I guess they are suppose to be non interactive and shy, this guy spends about 50 percent of his time out and about, and when he IS in his den, he pokes out and watches me...which is a little wierd...Name is still pending, as im not sure what sex it is... if anyone knows that would be great!

His/Her 5.5g...until i get my 8g biocube

Anyone know if its a male or female?

I think I see penises (penii?) in the second pic. A male if those are what I think they are. congrats on finding the one in a hundred or so active G. chiragra, hope he stays that way once he is settled.

Haha, yeah. Honestly i wasnt expecting him to be active. It's a very pleasant surprise, i hope it stays that way.
