My Goniopora had a baby!!

So far this is the second one. This one is bigger then the first at about a nickel size before it let go. Hes a very healthy one so far!

Very cool! I'm always looking at LFS for the little babies when they drop off, its neat to watch them grow :)
 
Thats super cool. I did not know gonis do this. I'm more inclined to getting one now.

Thanks everybody....The baby is doing great! I guess gonis love a little nitrates...lol. It keeps growing and sprouting more polyps.
 
my tank is running 0 phos and nitrate and nutrient free. do you guys think a goni can survive if i fed it a few times weekly?
 
I know this thread is old, but i recently bought a pink goniopora at my lfs a few weeks ago. I was wondering if you had a picture of the baby before it popped off the mother colony. The reason i ask is because the colony i have has about 1-1/2 inch polyps and around its base(where it encrusts) there are about 6-8 tiny polyps about 1/8" long and much smaller around than the big ones so i was wondering if they were going to fall off like yours? Also what and how often do you feed yours?
