My H. Mag is not on my column :(

For those of you that have a H. Mag. Have all of you been successful at keeping it on your column? I built this tank specifically for this mag, but it has dropped off the column and is staying on the sand/glass. Been 3 days now and hasn't moved from it's current spot at the bottom corner of the tank. It looks very healthy (which I'm very happy about), closed mouth, still inflated etc. but not on my column at all. Any advice? I have really good flow, but should I turn down my flow? Increase my flow? Let me know your thoughts on successful anemone column transplantation :)

What kind of lightning and current do you have for him. A picture of the tank and of the anemone is needed to give more specific recommendation.

My Mag sits comfortably half way down my rockwork....never tries to move uphill even though there is more light and flow up there - I guess it's just comfy where it is?

T5 have general defuse light. There is no point source. Magnifica really light bright light so it move toward a point light source. I think this is why your anemone does not stay on your column. Can you increase your light?

Bro, take something like a pair of tongs, your hand, etc...and put him where you want him. Make sure you have cut the flow off first and have ur lighting on. No flow at all. If he inflates and rolls himself off the column, then trap him in there with a DIY something. Nets, PVC pipe, tongs, etc. you have to put like four guards around him. If he doesn't attach. Cut ur lights off. That can also provoke him to attach. Each mag is different and they all react differently to things. Some are super sensitive and others are not.

Keep us updated.

Generally mags want strong light and high flow. But, I have had individuals that didn't like really high flow. Agree with a Minh that your lighting may be insufficient; but you also may be blasting it too much with flow. My current mag would always retreat down my rock column if I gave it too much so I've had to turn down my closest vortech. Also, depending upon the size of the nem, a 30 may be a bit tight. If these animals can touch anything with their tentacles they will be inclined to wander.
