ok here is my H. magnifica anemone! it's a little deflated right now because i think it is still acclimating but it goes back to normal within a few hours. i will take more pics then too. my snowflakes clown would not host anything but once i put this in there it took to it by the next morning. so here it is! enjoy!

yea the pics really don't do it any justice. hopefully i can get some better pics tomorrow! it looks great right now but you can't really tell from the pics. it ate for the first time today also.

I'm thinking you're going to be fine with this anemone. Once they are past the touch-and-go acclimation, which can take weeks, they are quite hardy.

Deflated daily is a very bad sign especially when it deflate late in the day. Only thing you can do is try to take the best care of it and hope for the best. Decreasing light intensity at this time may help. You can bring the light intensity back up once the anemone recover.
Good luck.

it has a magenta base. and orion i think it is fine because it never deflates all the way it just closes up a little bit. and it eats.

ok here it is opened up today! the clown is about 2 inches for size reference. i would say it's about 7-8 inches across right now. here it is!

Very pretty! You're lucky to find one with that color base. You may have seen the thread by Flighty with one just like yours. Just keep up with the good water quality and other conditions. When they are relatively small like that, they grow quickly with regular feedings.

Any form of inflation/deflation cycles beyond acclimatization arent a really good sign.

Keep a good eye on it and change your flow/lighting routines to see if that helps.

What are you feeding it?

your mag is starting to look better. Keep a close eye on the water qualities to make sure it has the best chance at surviving. I wish you the best of luck with such an amazing mag
